Life’s great and you have to live it as if its the last- a principal I have been clinging along for like ever. Hi, so my name is Shan Islam and I’m a ME major and a apparently a sophomore in this college. Why I said ‘apparently’? Well, its a long story and I have a very limited time at this point. Life has been hard to me at every point of my life but something that I can proudly say is that it has been an adventurous ride. So basically I’m an adventurous guy. Anything that has some thrills in it, you’ll find me there. I have traveled six countries so far(Sweden, Denmark, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Serbia), lived in 3 including the states and know 5 languages. I like sports a lot but hate video games( No offence to anyone). I played for the under 17 national cricket team and am pretty good at soccer as well. I was also a musician at one point of my life. Nowadays, I only play for myself. I like traveling and doing all kinds of outdoor activities( camping, hiking, kayaking, rafting, bungee jumping you name it!). My next goal is sky diving. Can’t wait for that! I live alone in NYC and my only getaway from this loneliness are my friends and my travelling adventures. So I try to make a lot of friends and hopefully by the end of this semester I would literally know everyone by their names. I might be late for my class today as well because of train delays but nevertheless I’ll be there. So ya, this is a tiny portion about me- the lone traveler.
